For your campaign, will you be accepting donations from corporations or unions? If so, why? If not, why not?	Yes	To answer your question, I have chosen to embrace CATCH's recommendations from last election. (see http://www.hamiltoncatch.org/archives/fefn/index.htm) First, I will make my list of $100+ donors public before the election rather than after. Second, as for the matter of corporate donations, I will accept them because I consider responsible businesses an important part of our city as well. The last time I looked, a great majority of people still work at jobs provided by BUSINESSES. While there are certainly irresponsible and even criminally negligent corporations out there, I think we allow ourselves to fall victim to an "Us vs. Them" mentality that is in many cases unfair. However, as per the third item in CATCH's recommendations, if a specific matter (ie. zoning app) comes before council or a committee I sit on that has a direct financial impact (and that I am aware of) on a corporate donor of mine, I will declare a conflict and abstain from the vote.
