BioBrian is a retired CUPE union representative and organizer with a 30 year history of working for his members in the Niagara Region, negotiating dozens of collective agreements with no strike actions. His union activity. Past coordinator of CUPE’s Municipal Employees Committee that provided workshops, training and information on current issues facing the workforce.

Brian is a committed local volunteer, with many years dedicated to community organizations. He served two terms as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Thorold Community Activities Group, which maintains properties owned, approves all expenditures, solicits membership, provides leadership and direction for the Staff to organize and deliver programs.

Brian is also one of the Directors of the “Canal Bank Shuffle Blues Festival” and organizes, produces, promotes, sells advertising for and runs the Festival and that has donated over $120,000.00 to local charities. He has 25 years of experience as a Member and President with the Thorold Community Credit Union Board of Directors, until stepping down this year.

Brian is 61 years old and has several children and grandkids. He is a devoted family man.
