“Hamilton East – Stoney Creek is my home. I learned to play soccer at Cherry Heights Park, participated in swimming lessons at Brewster Pool at Orchard Park High School and enrolled in many local extracurricular activities as a youth. We need a local voice, someone who understands our community, representing us at Queen’s Park.”
Ivan graduated with distinction with a combined Honours in History and Political Science from McMaster University and completed law school at Queen’s University in Kingston. He has practised law for 10 years and is currently teaching Employment Law, Labour Relations and Business Law at Conestoga College in Kitchener.
A strong proponent of Hamilton, Ivan believes that our area can enjoy continued economic success if we adopt a “Team Hamilton” approach, with all levels of government working together for the betterment of our community. “We need to leverage our strengths – our port, airport, railways and roads to attract jobs to Hamilton. Our city is beginning to turn itself around. Working collaboratively, we can achieve economic success in our community. Only the Wynne Liberals can deliver for Hamilton!”
Ivan and his wife Sonja along with their newborn son Matthew are proud to call Hamilton East – Stoney Creek home.
