| Bio | Javid Mirza has long been committed to getting Hamilton working by helping people in their everyday lives, founding successful businesses, creating jobs, and growing the economy.
Javid is the president of Seven Star Sports and an engaged community leader who has served on the Board of Directors at Jurvinski Cancer Centre, the Mayor’s Roundtable on Community Relations, and the Hamilton Police Advisory Council. He has a long history of engagement in local issues that matter to Hamilton and bringing people of various faiths and ethnicities together to strengthen our city. Javid knows what it takes to get Hamilton working again. Javid has always called Hamilton home after emigrating from Karachi, Pakistan with his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters when he was very young. Javid and his business-oriented family rolled up their sleeves and got to work in Hamilton building several successful local businesses, including Hamilton Health Initiative, Staple Foods, FB Investment, and Seven Star Sports. He attended Hill Park Secondary and then studied Industrial Engineering at Mohawk College, as well as Park Business College. |
