|Bio||Michelle Stockwell is a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Health Science working with the Hamilton Family Health Team at the Levy Clinic in Hamilton East Stoney Creek. She has thirty years of nursing experience in Hamilton and is known in her community for her tireless advocacy for better physical and mental health care. She established and runs women’s community groups and supports injured workers’ rights.
With a strong vision for the future and the passion and energy to represent her community Michelle Stockwell is a person who values the trust of the people of Hamilton. She understands from her background in both nursing and agriculture that Canadians need strong local and national leadership to improve day to day life and plan for the future. She believes that together we have to tackle:
* a manufacturing economy in transition
* health care that is affordable and sustainable and that actually improves health and prevents disease with national strategies for mental health and other major illnesses
* an education system that is relevant and available to all and makes us educated citizens of the world
* poverty reduction that has both a local and a national agenda for children and seniors
With the support of her family, husband Paul Links and grown children Braedon, Duncan and Madison, Michelle is honoured to represent the Federal Liberals in Hamilton East Stoney Creek . She believes that this is an opportunity to bring back a strong and trusting relationship for a healthier and more productive Hamilton in the future.
