| Bio | Born and raised in Hamilton, Brian is the middle child of seven kids and has worked and played in Ward 3 all his life. He has a son and daughter studying in Ottawa and lives with his youngest son near Gage Park. Brian’s entire career has been dedicated to solving problems for people and organizations with all levels of government.
After working in the constituency office of a Hamilton MP, Brian worked for six years on Parliament Hill as a senior staff member to federal ministers. He went on to manage environmental policy dossiers for several progressive Canadian and international companies before establishing his own business focused on transportation policy, trade and economic development issues. His most recent work in the education sector at York University and McMaster University include projects on municipal transit and the LRT, urban poverty, affordable housing, continuing education, extension of educational pathways to persons in need of assistance, social needs in the Jane-Finch corridor in Toronto, research in the treatment of dementia and securing funding from other levels of government for economic and social development projects in Hamilton. |
