|Election||Ontario Provincial Election 2014|
|Area||Hamilton East-Stoney Creek|
|Party||Ontario Libertarian Party|
I was born in Hamilton's east end into a working-class steel-working family. My father worked at Dofasco for over 32 years. My passions include politics, economics, and history. A self-described history buff, I have been involved in War of 1812 re-enacting since 2011 and I regularly volunteer at a local museum.
Why Are You Running?:
I want to be the first Libertarian MPP of Hamilton East - Stoney Creek because our riding needs someone who will stand up to big government bureaucrats. In order to restore our riding and our province back to health, we need less government, more freedom, and lower taxes. Despite plunging voter turnout rates, libertarianism continues to be one of the fastest growing political movements. Many people are witnessing the damage done by big government, and realize that the Ontario Libertarian Party is the only party willing to do what it takes to make our province great again. That is why I am running, and that is why I am proud to be the only candidate in Hamilton East - Stoney Creek who supports limited government, lower taxes, as well as personal and economic freedom.
Your Top Issue:
Increasing energy costs have put a choke hold on local industry and have forced businesses to settle elsewhere, not to mention the strain they have put on families. Ontario produces more than enough energy to keep prices competitive. Energy is too important to be put in the hands of politicians and bureaucrats. Clearly, it is time for the government to get out of the way and let energy prices fall. The only party with a realistic plan to ground Ontario's skyrocketing energy costs is the Ontario Libertarian Party.
