BioOriginally from Northern Ontario, Greg lives in Stoney Creek with his fiancée and their 3 children. He is first and foremost a family man who balances work, school, and political activism with the pleasures of raising a young family.

He has worked in the aerospace industry for the past 10 year as an Electro-Plater at UTC Aerospace Systems in Oakville. When not working or spending time with his family, Greg is studying to complete his final year for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Greg was also the President for both the Federal and Provincial Green Parties in Perth-Wellington riding from 2011-2013, and currently sits as the CEO for Green Party of Canada in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek. He is a member of several political associations in including the CCLA, Fair Vote Canada, CPSA, and NORML Canada. Greg is also a regular blood donor who has 34 donations to date.

Greg is an active Green who has been instrumental in organizing, and running, a variety of awareness events for the Party across Southern Ontario. He has done everything from youth outreach booths at Vans Warped Tour to high-end speaking events featuring Canadian author John Ralston Saul. But most importantly, at the family level, Greg lives a Green philosophy in his home and integrates this worldview into raising and educating his children with environmental consciousness. And those 3 boys are going to be amazing organic gardeners when they grow up!

Overall Greg recognizes the deep seated interconnectedness between the environment, the economy, our social order and the political system. And because Greg has lived in various cities (in both rural and urban settings) across the province he can utilize these collective life experiences alongside this philosophy and identify the policy areas that are of concern to Ontarians across the province.

Greg will be proud to serve the people of Hamilton East-Stoney Creek and wants to focus his energies on protecting Lake Ontario from further degradation, helping low income families dig out of poverty traps, and restoring democratic ideals from their current broken condition.
Mr. Zink welcomes any questions and encourages comments from his fellow Hamiltonians.
