Bio | Jim Byron is running in Hamilton Centre because he wants to make a difference in the local community.
In particular, Jim wants to provide better programs for families, ensure our retirees and veterans receive the support they need and deserve, and deliver lower taxes to Hamilton. Born and raised a proud Hamiltonian, Jim attended Memorial and Delta, followed by studying business administration at Mohawk College. A passionate advocate for our community, Jim has a wealth of experience. His career at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters gave him an appreciation for protecting the environment. As a small business owner, Jim runs a successful disc jockey service known as "The Hi-Fi's". He manages a team of people that’s been playing the latest music at dances since 1972. Jim’s passions are his family, popular music, cinema, collecting rare coins and being the Sergeant-at-Arms and Colour Party Commander for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 36. |
